Gift of Membership Deal – For New and Existing Members Oct 28, 2019 to Jan 31, 2020

So the Gift of Membership deal has come around again this year and some people have already been asking about it because it was such a good deal last year. What is great about this deal is that it can be used to renew (or upgrade) your membership. While the deal is not as good as it was last year, as always, if you plan strategically, it can still be worth it. You can also order the “Gift of Membership” online without any shipping cost.

Last year, if you purchased a “Gift of Membership” which was a voucher for a Gold Star or Executive membership, you received a $25 or $50 Costco Voucher (online purchases only) with no minimum spending limit.

This year, Costco has introduced minimum spending limits (minimum $250) when redeeming the $50 voucher (online purchases only); however, they have also included an additional Travel Voucher, worth $250 with a minimum spend of $5,000 dollars on travel. You can only use one voucher per transaction – so no stacking on these vouchers.

If you need some help just flip through Costco.ca, Costco has some great deals like the Dutailier® Elena Beige Glider. ($319.99), the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Cordless Vacuum ($679.99), or the 2.74 m (9 ft.) Pre-lit Bayberry Slim Spruce Tree with 700 Dual Colour LED Lights ($299.99 until Nov 3) or even 6 packs of Kirkland Signature Non-GMO Infant Formula Omega+, 2-pack ($269.99 until Nov 3) Items like this are already a great deal and with $50 off, you probably won’t find it any cheaper (the prices online include a small premium for shipping). It may take some work, but if you plan on making a large purchase in the next couple of months, you may be able to use this voucher to save some money.

If you are renewing your membership anyways, this is something you should seriously consider.
