Costco Flyer & Costco Sale Items for Mar 2-8, 2020, for BC, AB, SK, MB

Hi Everyone,

So Costco was extremely busy over the weekend so I decided to take a trip out to Abbotsford to get some gas a avoid the busy Costco stores.  It was surprisingly calm this morning in Abbotsford; however you could tell that the store was busier than normal.  The shelves above the main inventory were more empty than I have ever seen – but the store seemed to be fully stocked up.

I picked up a few boxes of KS Wipes and some Huggies Pull-Ups, edamame, a new entrance mat and some new windshield wipers.  Paper Towels, toilet paper and bottles of water seemed to be the items everyone seemed to have in their shopping carts.  Fortunately, we are well stocked up on those 🙂

  5. Thanks for the funny Boots/donut impression pics . Don’t know about Costco, but I’ve been seeing that grocery stores are sold out of hand sanitizer and face masks.

  6. The recent panic buying trend has caused shortages of certain things, like toilet paper. I felt very fortunate that I was able to buy some Purex TP this past weekend. My local Costco was completely sold out of TP (all brands), but thankfully the employees were able to locate another pallet of Purex. Purex went on sale ($5 off) on Monday, so I took my receipt to customer service for a price adjustment. To my surprise, they refused. I was told they only do price adjustments for items they have in stock. They said that because they had sold out of Purex (again), they weren’t obligated to honour their 30 day price adjustment policy. Eventually one of the managers agreed to do the price adjustment anyway, so there was a happy ending to the story. However, I just thought I would tell others on this forum about my experience. Most people think that 30 days is the policy, and it is, but the Costco location you’ve gone to for the price adjustment must have that item in stock at their warehouse.

      It’s been posted here before price adjustments are only for items in-stock.

      Unfortunately, some retard politician back east decided to spook everyone and give his personal uneducated ignorant opinion and the media ran with it telling everyone they should stock up on essentials. It’s funny, since he’s a liked politician, the RCMP is not going to even look at charging him for inciting a public disturbance.

      Anyway, Costco Canada refuses to start enforcing limits on items so this kind of illogical behavior will continue, not just at Costco but every grocery store. Although, it’s been reported aside from masks, disinfectant and hand sanitizers, this kind of panic is unique to Metro Vancouver. Perhaps they’ll change their thinking when things become really out -of-hand.

      • Panic-buying isn’t unique to Canada, or to Costco. It’s becoming a global problem. I have a relative in Australia who tells me it’s happening in grocery stores there too. People see images of bare shelves on TV and social media, and the scarcity just fuels the panic-buying. I don’t know why Costco doesn’t place limits on certain items, but I suspect they don’t want to put their cashiers in the uncomfortable position of having to enforce the policy. Shoppers are panic-buying due to anxiety, so can you imagine the sort of verbal abuse the cashiers would be subjected to if they had to tell anxious customers they could only buy 1 or 2 of this particular item?

        • Why would they limit the number you can buy? Costco is meant to sell to business who require large amounts of certain items not to mention it would not benefit Costco

  8. Hi Tynan. I was at Abbotsford Costco today. They got rid of the sale on eggs 2.5 Dozen Golden Valley. It’s at $7.69

  14. Enjoy your site as usual Tynan. I was just at Abbotsford Costco and purchased Nestles water and Kirkland tp. Noticed that they’ve decreased the bottle amounts and Kirkland tp has decreased the roll amounts. Didn’t notice it until I got home, so didn’t compare prices, but I sure have noticed an increase in prices on most items. Don’t go there often, so really have noticed the price increases on items I usually purchase.
